Black-figure lekythos, unknown Attic workshop. Yellowish clay, matte firnia. Disc-shaped foot, ovoid body, slightly sloping handles, wide short neck, rim widening upward. Dark firnia on the rim, outer part of the neck, lower body, and foot. A wide black band below the figural decoration and a narrow black band at the transition from body to handles. Handles decorated with a series of lotus buds connected by intertwining lines; neck with a circular ornament of dots. Belly figural scene: a maenad in a chiton and cloak dancing, facing right with her head turned back; her left arm raised upward and her right bent arm hidden under her cloak. Two dancing satyrs flank her, facing right. Vine branches with grapes in the background. Black-figure pottery, lekythos, c. 500 BC, Attica., A round ceramic object viewed from above with a central cylindrical opening surrounded by a raised rim, showing a terracotta base color with dark brown to black painted leaf-like motifs arranged in a circular pattern around the rim, and a dark glossy handle attached to one side; the surface shows spots of wear and slight discoloration, and the background is a muted gray.
