Doll with movable limbs, unknown Corinthian workshop author ?, restitution provenance, toys, dolls, human figurines, 500–450 BC, Corinth place of origin ?, figurine; height 13.9 cm, width 4.1 cm, depth 1.9 cm, weight 0.05 kg, A worn figurine of a humanlike form stands against a plain background, showing a weathered surface in shades of brown with patches of lighter tan and small areas of pale discoloration; the figure has an elongated torso and a simple head with a suggestion of facial features and a rounded cap or headdress, a few irregularities and rough spots across the body, two long, slightly bent arms with one raised and the other extended outward, and a skirtlike lower section from which two long legs extend and taper to rounded feet; there are traces of darker brown smudging and some whitish residue in a few crevices, and soft shadowing falls to one side on the neutral background.
