Jug, Small handleless jug with a biconical body, widest at about half its height; broad, rather flat shoulders. Neck wide, almost cylindrical, widening slightly toward a profiled, irregular spout that slopes down on one side and extends to form a small beak; spout cross-section triangular with an approx. 1 mm central indentation on the outer profile. Neck was formed separately and attached to the shoulders. Bottom almost flat, very slightly rounded. Made of Nile clay NB1/2? Vienna System. Outer surface and inner surface of rim and neck smoothed and covered with an engobe; remaining inner surface leveled. Red-brown color. Almost complete—small rim fragment missing; outer surface slightly worn in places. Old Kingdom, possibly 4th–6th Dynasty; provenance: Edfu. Vessel; height 11.4 cm; diameters: rim 5.5 cm, shoulders 10.8 cm, bottom 7.1 cm., A single rounded clay vessel with a narrow neck and flared rim sits against a plain background; the vessel has an uneven, slightly rough surface with visible small pits and scratches, and shows a worn texture with patches of lighter and darker areas. The shape widens into a broad shoulder and tapers toward a flat base, with subtle irregularities in its form. The predominant color is reddish-brown with touches of muted tan and faint grayish spots on the surface. The background is a uniform medium gray.
