Jug, Small jug without a handle with a biconical body, widest at about half its height. Broad, rather flat shoulders. Wide, almost cylindrical neck widening slightly toward a profiled, irregular spout that slopes down on one side and extends to form a small pouring lip; spout cross-section triangular with an approx. 1 mm indentation at the centre of the outer profile. Neck shaped separately and attached to the shoulders. Bottom almost flat, very slightly rounded. Made of Nile clay NB1/2 Vienna System. Outer surface and inner surface of rim and neck leveled and covered with an engobe and polished/smoothed; remaining inner surface leveled. Color red-brown. Almost complete small fragment of rim missing; outer surface slightly worn in places. Origin: Edfu Old Kingdom; attributed to 4th–6th Dynasty; c. 2686–c. 2181 BC.
