Sarcophagus lid, The deceased is shown in a semi-reclining position, resting his left forearm on a pillow and holding a laurel wreath in his right hand. He wears a short-sleeved tunic and a cloak which, when thrown over the head, reveals the torso and left arm from shoulder to elbow; the right foot is visible from under the cloak. The human figure has very elongated proportions, with notably disproportionate legs. 2nd half of the 2nd century BC, Etruria. Sarcophagus; height 71 cm, width 203 cm, depth 48 cm, weight 108 kg., A reclining terracotta figure on a rectangular base, shown in profile with a draped garment and a hooded head, displaying a few areas of smooth and rough texture; the figure's visible hand holds a small cluster of rounded forms while the other hand rests near the hip; the face has stylized features with wide eyes and a neutral expression; the surface shows worn and chipped areas and subtle contouring of fabric folds; colors visible include earthy terracotta tones, muted beige, light brown, pale pink, and touches of darker brown and gray, set against a neutral gray background.
