Basa's funerary cone, made by Basa ca. 664–610 BC, Late Period, 26th Dynasty reign of Psammetik I. Cone-shaped funerary cone, height 9 cm, width 23 cm, weight 1.072 kg. From Western Thebes tomb 389 on Asasif. The hieroglyphic inscription on the base runs in two vertical columns. On either side a figure faces the inscription, kneeling on the neb sign, with hands raised in prayer. Above the inscription is a representation of a solar barque. Iconography: boat, solar disc; contains hieroglyphs. Davies-Macadam, Corpus No. 602., A close-up view of a single irregular, tapered object resting on a reflective surface, showing a rough, textured exterior with patches of muted pink, reddish, beige, tan, and gray; the background is a smooth, uniform gray and the object casts a soft reflection beneath it.
