Basa's funeral cone, Basa ca. 664–610 BC, boat iconography, solar disc iconography, hieroglyphs. The hieroglyphic inscription on the base runs in two vertical columns. On either side a figure facing the inscription, kneeling on the neb sign, with hands raised in prayer. Above the inscription is a representation of a solar barque. Davies-Macadam, Corpus No. 602; 664–610 BC; Late Period, 26th Dynasty reign of Psammetik I; Western Thebes tomb 389 on Asasif. Cone-shaped funerary cone, height 9 cm, width 23 cm, weight 1.072 kg., A cylindrical object lying on its side with a rounded end showing an incised oval design, the surface appearing rough and weathered with worn edges and textured pitting; the object displays a palette of beige, tan, light brown, reddish-brown and hints of gray, with the background a smooth medium gray gradient.
