Bowl with a hemispherical shape, narrowing just below the rim to form a carination; rounded bottom; straight, slightly widening spout whose diameter is slightly larger than the shoulders. Surface even, covered with a red engobe and polished. Vessel color: red. Fairly well preserved; minor losses on the rim. c. 2494–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, 5th–6th Dynasty, Edfu. Vessel; height 7 cm, diameter 26.4 cm spout, weight 0.90 kg., A terracotta object with a warm reddish-brown color, shaped like a tall pedestal supporting a shallow, wide bowl; the pedestal flares at the base and narrows toward the top with a smooth, slightly textured surface showing small imperfections and subtle variations in the reddish-brown hue, set against a uniform cool gray background.
