Bowl base. Base for a vessel with almost equal diameter of both rims; both rims irregular with a wavy line. Center of the base is empty. Narrowest part of the base is approximately 2/3 of the height of the entire vessel. Vessel made of Nile clay NB1. Surface leveled, covered with an engobe and polished. Vessel color red. Complete, very well preserved. c. 2494–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, 5th–6th Dynasty, Edfu find place. Vessel; top diameter 17.5 cm, bottom diameter 18 cm, height 25.6 cm, weight 1.30 kg., A single terracotta object with a flared rim and hollow center is shown resting on a smooth light gray surface and casting a soft shadow; the object displays earthy reddish-brown and clay tones with areas of lighter beige wear, a rough textured interior and rim with small imperfections and cracks, and a darker hollow opening at its center, while the background is a uniform pale gray.
