Complete vessel, very well preserved. c. 2494–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, 5th–6th Dynasty, Edfu. Vessel; top diameter 17.5 cm, bottom diameter 18 cm, height 25.6 cm, weight 1.30 kg., A terracotta-colored, hourglass-shaped ceramic object with a wide flared top and a broad rounded base set against a smooth gray background; the surface shows slight texture and small imperfections in the clay, with subtle variations of reddish-brown and orange tones and hints of darker speckles.
