Woman's sarcophagus mask. Mask of wood covered with a layer of canvas to which paint is applied. The face is wide, painted with yellow paint. Large, almond-shaped eyes, the pupils highlighted with black paint, arched eyebrows. Straight nose, flattened at the tip. The mouth and the protrusions of the chin are marked in red, as is the outline of the eye sockets above the eyes. Face height: 15 cm. 1st–2nd century; Roman period 4th century AD. Egypt.
