Sarcophagus mask of a deceased man. Creamy, elongated face, almond-shaped eyes, long straight nose. Small mouth with slightly upturned corners and prominent lips. Slightly arched eyebrows. Wig painted black on the head. Fragment of a braided beard under the chin. ca. 747–30 BC; Late Period–Ptolemaic period, Egypt., A carved wooden face with a rounded forehead and a blocky headdress, showing a weathered surface with a mix of light beige, warm brown, and dark brown tones; the facial features are lightly incised with closed or partially closed eyes, a defined nose, and a subtle mouth, all exhibiting worn paint and surface cracks; the headdress area is darker with rougher texture and patches of very dark brown, while the lower chin extends into a short rectangular wooden peg with visible grain and a hole, and the overall piece rests against a neutral light gray background.
