Banded decoration: upper band shows a row of birds ducks walking to the right in silhouette with lowered heads and raised wings; dotted rosettes between pairs of birds. Below, decoration enclosed in two wide dark bands consisting of two stripes of watered varnish and a zigzag line. Clay color: 10 YR 7/2–10 YR 7/4; varnish color: 2.5 YR 2.5/1 black; red paint: 2.5 YR 6/3. Early 7th century BC, Boeotia. Function: container. Dimensions: depth 5.5 cm; diameter 7.3 cm; wall thickness 0.4 cm; height 6.5 cm; width 8.8 cm; weight 0.098 kg., A cylindrical ceramic vessel sits on a flat surface against a neutral gray background, showing an open top and a rounded rim with worn dark brown areas.
