Fragment of a brick with relief decoration. Element of an unglazed panel with a depiction of a bull from the decoration of the Ishtar Gate. On the face side, plastic decoration with a depiction of two diagonally running spirally twisted curls of hair from the figures of bulls that decorated the walls of the Ishtar Gate in Babylon older unglazed phase. 1st half of the 6th century BC; Neo-Babylonian period, Babylon Iraq. Element of architectural decoration. Weight 810 g., A roughly rectangular slab of rock with an uneven, weathered surface sits against a plain gray background; the top face of the slab is a pale yellowish-beige with subtle circular impressions and small darker specks, while the sides show a mix of darker gray and black rough textures interspersed with lighter beige patches, and the underside has shadowed areas creating darker gray tones.
