Fragment of a Sinopean amphora vice with a rectangular stamp impression on the upper surface. The fragmentarily preserved, reversed inscription read right to left contains the name of the Sinopean manufacturer, Sagaris, given with his patronymic; an emblem in the form of a leaf originally appeared at the left of the stamp. Dated ca. 320–300 BC. Origin: Sinope; findspot: Myrmekion. Height 8 cm. Maker: Sagaris son of Numenius., A fragment of a rough, earthen object with a textured, pitted surface in shades of tan and light brown rests against a smooth gray background; the object has an irregular, slightly cylindrical form with a flared, broken end and a rounded opposite end, showing a mix of darker speckles and small porous holes across its surface and casting a soft shadow on the background.
