Figurine of a maenad. A young woman standing in a wreath tied with a ribbon is dressed in a chiton slipped from her right shoulder so as to expose her right breast and upper arm, and a cloak that envelops her hands. The left hand rests on her hip; the right leg is pushed back. The robe is light pink and decorated at the bottom with a wide border and a narrow beetroot-colored stripe above it. A similar border is found at the bottom, and a wide border in the same color runs around the cloak. The back of the figurine is unfinished. Without base. 3rd–2nd century BC previously dated 2nd BC, Myrina findspot, figurine, height 26.5 cm, width 9.2 cm, depth 7.4 cm, weight 0.39 kg., A weathered standing figure of a woman seen in profile with a coiffed hair arrangement, wearing a long draped dress and a shawl; the surface shows worn pigment in shades of pale beige, off-white, reddish-brown, and muted pink, with traces of darker brown in folds and creases; the figure's left arm rests on the hip while the right arm hangs by the side, and the clothing displays pleats and vertical folds with remnants of painted bands and areas of textured wear across the shoulders, sleeves, and lower hem; the background is a smooth neutral gray.
