Alabastron, Egyptian workshop, — 6th–5th century BC. Opaque dark blue glass decorated with yellow-brown zigzag threads; ovoid body with rounded bottom and flat discoidal rim; vertical duck vises glued to upper part of body; formed on the core. Type: Grose group I:E, form I:6, Harden group I form 4. Alabastron vessel, height 8.6 cm; body diameter 2.5 cm; spout diameter 2.45 cm; weight 0.030 kg. Site of origin: Egypt ., A tall, narrow vase with a flared rim and two small looped handles on its upper sides sits against a plain gray background, showing a repeating featherlike pattern in dark blue and off-white that runs vertically down its elongated body, with additional pale blue shading and darker blue accents around the rim, handles, and base; the surface shows slight irregularities and a small rectangular patch of a warm tan color near the neck, and the overall visible colors include blue, off-white, pale blue, tan, and gray.
