Bowl or lamp, hemispherical glass vessel, light green transparent glass, free-blown, decorated with translucent cobalt glass discs placed in one line halfway up the bowl in six places in two alternating arrangements 1 — a single large disc; 2 — six smaller ones arranged like a grape. Decorated with knobs. Isings form 106 96A. Outer rim diameter 14.30 cm; height 9.30 cm; weight 0.306 kg. 4th century, Syria., A small translucent bowl with a pale greenish tint and a slightly iridescent surface, showing areas of cloudiness and fine surface scratches; the bowl has a rounded shape with a gently flaring rim and a horizontal band circling its upper portion; there are a few deep blue circular spots clustered on one side and a couple of larger dark blue oval spots spaced around the bowl; the background is a smooth gradient from light gray at the top to darker gray at the bottom, and the bowl sits on a soft gray surface.
