Date-shaped unguentarium, Syro-Palestine workshop; Smyrna place of discovery; 1st–early 2nd century AD. Type: Isings form 78D. Translucent amber glass with inclined rim and inwardly curved edge; blown in a two-part mold. Rim diameter 2 cm, height 8.15 cm, belly diameter 2.95 cm, weight 0.020 kg., A dark, irregularly shaped object with a rough, glossy surface showing shades of dark brown, deep blue, black, and hints of amber and gray, with a small rectangular pale patch adhered to one side; the object sits against a plain off-white background.
