An aryballus lekythos on a ring-shaped, profiled foot, with a bulging, egg-shaped belly, convex handles flowing into a neck terminating in a cup-shaped rim. The handle zone is narrow and band-like. At the base of the neck is a bar ornament, and on the handles is an egg-shaped motif with plastic lines in ovals. Below the handle zone are two upward-facing palmettes, arranged one above the other, decorated with leaves and volutes. The front of the vessel depicts a seated, nude woman wearing a garment covering her legs and hips; she faces left with her head turned right. Behind her is a leaning, winged Eros, standing on his right leg with his left leg raised, holding a necklace in his outstretched hands. The composition is framed from below by an egg-shaped motif. Preservation condition: the neck, handle, and rim are glued; a few chips are visible on the surface. ca. 420 BC earlier dating: 4th century BC, Apulia. Vessel type: lekythos/aryballus lekythos. Height 9.4 cm; width 5.0 cm; foot diameter 4.1 cm; rim diameter 2.7 cm. Maker: unknown., A small ancient-style ceramic vessel with a rounded body, narrow neck, flared rim, and a single curved handle, displayed against a plain gray background; the vessel is primarily black with orange-brown decorative patterns and some white painted areas, showing areas of wear and chipping where the underlying clay color appears; the body features swirling and linear motifs in orange-brown and a partial white-figured shape on one side, while the neck and rim have bands and petal-like designs in orange-brown contrasted against the black surface.
