Oinochoe, unknown Cypriot workshop; Arsinoe Cyprus. Oinochoe on a cup-shaped foot with a spherical body transitioning into sloping arms, separated by a recess from the narrow, tapering neck terminating in a triangular rim. The band-shaped handle protrudes slightly above the rim and is connected to the arm. The vessel is covered with gray-blue, matte paint. Decoration in white and brown paint surrounds the vessel concentrically. On the foot, stripes of white paint decorate the body; a laurel sprig adorns the narrowest part of the body, with white and brown stripes above it. On the shoulders, a ray ornament extends up to the neck. On the neck at the base and under the rim, white dots, and between the rows of dots, white stripes. 332–30 BC; Hellenistic period, Cyprus. Oinochoe vessel. Height 14 cm, width 9 cm., A single rounded ceramic jug with a narrow neck, flared lip, and a single curved handle rising from the neck to the shoulder, resting on a small circular foot; the surface shows worn painted bands and decorative motifs in dark gray and black with faded pale beige and off-white areas where the finish has chipped; the body features several horizontal stripes and a repeating leaf-like pattern around the widest part, while the neck and shoulder display concentric rings and dotted accents; the handle and rim exhibit noticeable abrasion and loss of pigment, revealing rougher beige ceramic beneath, and the background is a flat light gray.
