Barrel-shaped jug, unknown Cypriot workshop, ca. 850–600 BC, Cyprus Arsinoe. vessel. A vessel with a barrel-shaped body terminated on both sides by small protrusions. The cylindrical neck terminates in a cup-shaped spout. A band-shaped vise connects the body to the neck midway up. The decoration, finished with brown paint, consists of concentric bands encircling the barrel. Two wide light-brown bands on either side of the vise are framed on either side by narrow dark-brown bands. At the protrusions, the bands group into a set of concentric circles. Transverse bands between two vertical bands decorate the vise. A series of concentric belts on the neck. Height 12 cm; width 10 cm., A rounded ceramic vessel with a narrow neck and a flared rim sits against a plain background; the surface shows a weathered beige base with decorative bands and geometric patterns in dark gray and reddish-brown, and a single curved handle connecting the neck to the shoulder, with worn and chipped areas revealing texture and variations in the beige, gray, and brown tones.
