Lagynos with a depiction of musical instruments – lyres and syrinxes, unknown Eastern Greek workshop. Lagynos on a ring-shaped foot, a belly separated by a sharp edge from the convex arms, and a cylindrical neck terminating in a ring-shaped rim. The vise connecting the arms to the upper part of the neck is profiled. The belly, covered with white paint, is decorated with orange lines running all around. Similar lines decorate the arms near the belly. On the shoulders there are depictions of three wreaths and musical instruments lyres and syrinxes painted with brown paint. 2nd century BC, Greece; found in Cyprus. Lagynos vessel, weight 0.41 kg, height 16 cm, diameter 16.5 cm., A circular ceramic object seen from above with a central round opening and an attached handle, predominantly cream colored with brown decorative brushwork; the surface shows a few concentric brown rings near the edge and several brown painted motifs including curved lines, a grid-like mark, and leaf-shaped or wreath-like shapes, with some darker brown and black accents; the handle appears worn and slightly discolored, and the background behind the object is a flat gray.
