Ariballus lekythos, 4th century BC, Nola, Campania; lekythos vessel, height 12.0 cm, width 7.0 cm., A dark pottery vessel with a rounded body, narrow neck, flared rim, and a single curved handle, shown against a plain light gray background; the vessel is primarily black with areas of worn orange-brown clay visible where the black surface has chipped, and faint incised diagonal patterns on the body; the base rim is predominantly orange-brown and shows small chips and wear.
