Hydria decorated with a combat scene of two naked hoplite warriors fighting with long spears; they wear pointed helmets, hold round convex shields in their left hands, and wear greaves on their legs. Weaponry painted white with yellow retouching. Ca. 340–320 BC, Campania. Vessel hydria, height 22.5 cm, width 15.6 cm, depth 13.3 cm, weight 0.612 kg., A dark-colored ceramic vase with a narrow neck, flared rim, and rounded body is centered against a light gray background; the vase has a glossy black surface with visible wear showing small areas of chipped or rubbed spots in lighter tan and brown tones, a few looped handles near the shoulder, and a short footed base that reveals worn brownish-gold coloring.
