Oinochoe in the shape of a woman's head, repossession Bytom. Greece. Oinochoe, head iconography, Greek culture, ancient vessel. Yellowish clay, orange surface, in places shiny black engobe. Some elements painted white. The upper part is covered with black engobe, as is the headdress, on which a white olive wreath stands out. The neck is outlined at the base with a black band. The elongated female face, very carefully modeled, corresponds to the classic Attic head type from the second half of the 5th century. The oval eyes are surrounded by a black outline. The hair is divided into two parts by a parting and falls in waves to ear level. The headdress flows into a narrow neck ending in a wide, cup-shaped spout. A cylindrical vice is attached vertically between the rim and the back of the head. Preservation condition: missing engobe in some places, damaged surface.
