Black-finned pyxis decorated with vine, Greek ceramics, plant motifs, 275–250 BC, Athens, Attica, pyxis vessel, weight 0.16 kg, height 8.3 cm, diameter 8.5 cm., Two shallow cylindrical vessels sit on a smooth gray surface, each with a flared rim and pedestal base; both are primarily black with worn areas revealing a tan or beige underlayer, and one of them displays decorative bands of tan floral and vine motifs around its exterior. The left vessel has a wider flared top with scattered tan speckles and edge wear, a slightly tapered body, and a short rounded pedestal that shows patched tan wear, while the right vessel has a more upright cylindrical profile with two horizontal tan bands and a pattern of small floral shapes and curved lines, along with chipped edges and visible interior wear. The background is a uniform mid-gray.
