Crescent-shaped appliqué with three heads; appliqué made of thin gold sheet in the shape of a moon, decorated with a depiction of three stylized heads. The central, largest, has triangular, convex pupils surrounded by a circle. The two side eyes consist of two concentric circles and a marked mouth formed by two small, horizontal, convex lines. Each face is surrounded by a series of small circles. The appliqué has four perforations for sewing the plate, e.g. to a plaque. 5th–4th century BC, Greece . Gold; appliqué; height 2 cm, width 3 cm, depth 0.1 cm, weight 1 g., A curved, irregularly shaped metallic object with a golden color rests against a gray background, showing a textured surface of raised circular and spiral motifs and depressions; the edges are uneven and slightly torn in places with a few small square holes near the rim, and the surface displays areas of darker tarnish and subtle variations in gold tone.
