Hunchback puppet, Figurine hollow inside. Hunchbacked torso with a large head in a pointed cap set on a short neck. Elongated face with a large hooked nose and a large full-lipped mouth. Large bulging eyes with traces of white paint on the pupils. Torso wrapped in a cloak forming a thick fold around the neck and covering the right arm raised toward the chin. Left arm bent, resting at the waist. Opening on the side under the elbows for attaching legs. Opening at top of cap for attaching strings. Traces of polychrome with white paint on the torso. 1st century BC, Hellenistic period. Found at Myrmekion; origin Pantikapaion. Terracotta figurine, height 8.6 cm, width 5.5 cm, depth 4.6 cm., A small weathered clay figurine photographed from the back sits on a smooth surface against a plain background; the figurine has a rounded, tapered head and broad shoulders with a short, flared base, showing a rough, pitted texture and visible cracks and chips. The colors visible are gray, brown, tan, and muted reddish tones, with lighter off-white patches where the surface is worn. The background and surface are shades of gray, and a soft shadow appears beside the figurine.
