A slight protrusion, called the axis, runs through the center of both flats. The handle is divided into three parts: a the pommel in the form of a small, slightly flattened mushroom cap; b the handle shaft with round cross-section, narrowing towards the blade, formed from 9 rings separated by grooves; c the guard in the form of oblique short leaves protruding slightly beyond the width of the blade and separated by a triangular bulge.
