Double-edged sword, Bosporan workshop. Short sword, cast in one piece. Double-edged blade with a centric point and a prominent bulge running through the center of both faces. Hilt divided into three segments: a crescent-shaped pommel, decorated on both sides with small oval knobs imitating rivet heads; one such knob at the transition to the hilt shaft on each side. b square-section shaft decorated on two opposite sides with horizontal incisions; shaft is encircled in two places by a convex, flat band; guard at base of blade. c guard in the form of a horizontal profiled strip from which three protrusions emerge — two longer along the blade line and one shorter on the axis extension. 6th century BC, Black Sea region Bosporan, weapon. Height 45.3 cm; width 5.6 cm; depth 1.7 cm; length 45.5 cm; weight 0.566 kg., An elongated metal object with a dark metallic handle and a rounded, T-shaped pommel showing patterned indentations, a ridged grip, and a short guard; below the guard a long narrow blade extends, its surface heavily corroded with a rough, pitted texture and mottled patches of green and brown; the overall colors visible are dark metallic gray, green, and brown, set against a pale neutral background.
