Fragment of a brick with a cuneiform inscription, Nebuchadnezzar II reign 604–562 BC, impressed with a stamp, bearing 7 lines of cuneiform commemorative text of the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II Neo-Babylonian period. From Esagila Babylon / Ezida Babylon; possibly found at Borsippa, Iraq. Architectural brick, Near Eastern architecture; cuneiform writing. Material: brick with layer of bitumen. Weight: 1.6 kg. Dimensions: length max 17 cm; width 15.5 cm; thickness 7 cm brick only, 8 cm with bitumen., A roughly circular flat stone tablet with irregular edges resting against a neutral gray background, showing a textured surface of sandy beige and light brown tones with deeper brown shadows in indented areas; the tablet's face is covered with an overall grid-like pattern of shallow incisions and carved grooves creating repeated geometric impressions, with some areas appearing more worn and smoother, and a few small pits and rougher, jagged edges around the perimeter.
