Figurine of a goat ibex, unknown Middle Eastern workshop; maker role/workshop: Semerau-Siemianowski, Wladyslaw 1849–1938 author. Miniature figurine of an ibex standing on a base in the form of a hollow prism, with single holes on the longer sides likely used to mount the figurine probably on a wooden handle. A round hole in the front of the ibex's torso may have served to attach ornaments e.g., bells., animal figurine, art of Iran, Eastern Gaulish scenography. Date: 1st half of the 1st millennium BC. Place of origin/discovery: Middle East; Asia Minor; Iran. Type: figurine. Dimensions: height 2.8 cm, width 2.1 cm, depth 0.6 cm., A dark brown, irregularly shaped metal object resembling an abstract animal silhouette is displayed against a light gray background, mounted on a transparent support that sits on a white rectangular base; the metal surface is rough and pitted with a circular hole through its midsection and a few thin clear plastic pins hold it in place.
