Conical stamp seal with a hole drilled below the top of the cone. On the circular base is engraved a walking gazelle shown in right profile, with a backward-curved notched horn, ear, eye, beard, and an upward-curving tail ending in a tassel of three engraved lines. Above the animal's rump is a horizontally displayed crescent moon; in front of the muzzle is a schematic plant or branch—vertical line ending in three short fan-like lines. Stamp seal depicting a goat gazelle, Northern Mesopotamian workshop, 9th–8th century BC previously dated ca. 9th–7th century BC. Origin: Northern Mesopotamia Iraq/Syria/Turkey. Seal; height 1.4 cm, width 1.65 cm., A circular, worn object with a raised, carved design depicting an animal figure and abstract shapes; the object shows a textured surface with rough edges and indentations, and the visible colors include gray, brown, and hints of blue.
