Amulet - falcon head on a column; papyrus capital of the column shows a falcon head in a striped wig topped with a disc, with a pendant at the back. 332–30 BC, Ptolemaic Period, Egypt. Amulet; height 3.6 cm, width 1.5 cm., A small sculpted object resembling a stylized crouching figure with a rounded top, rough textured surface, and simplified facial features; the piece shows a head with a flat forehead area above recessed eyes and a suggestion of limbs folded close to the body, all carved in a single piece that tapers into a cylindrical base. The colors visible are pale beige, light tan, muted green, and small areas of brown and gray, with subtle mottling and weathered patches across the surface.
