The whole is set in a copper setting; the copper setting is chipped at the edges, with larger losses on the outer side of the eyes. c. 1069–332 BC Third Intermediate Period–Late Period, Egypt. Sarcophagus mask. Length: 6 cm part a, 6 cm part b., A pair of symmetrical, eye-shaped objects set against a solid gray background, each composed of an off-white, curved central form resembling an eye sclera with a dark circular element at its center, surrounded by a textured, irregular outer rim that appears greenish with spots of brown and darker patina; the off-white areas show subtle brownish discoloration and surface marks, while the dark central circles are glossy and black with some light scratches.
