Ushabti, mummy-shaped figurine, funerary gift. Mummy-shaped figurine with preserved head and fragment of torso. Arms crossed on the chest, hands placed at the same level next to each other, holding hoes in each hand. On the back a rectangular basket is slung on strings over both shoulders. On the head a long, smooth, three-part wig with a headband. Triangular face with proportional details, eyes slightly closed. Headband, tools, and facial details painted. ca. 945–ca. 715 BC; Third Intermediate Period, 22nd–23rd Dynasty, Egypt. Ushabti; height 5.2 cm., A small sculpted figure shown in profile against a plain gray background, rendered in a bright blue-green color with areas of lighter and darker blue and small patches of beige; the figure has a smooth rounded head with a dark horizontal band across the forehead and a long straight headdress extending down the back, a defined nose and chin, and a rounded torso with a darker band near the shoulder and some rough textured spots.
