Ushabti, Mummy-shaped figurine, preserved upper fragment from the waist up. Arms crossed on the chest, hands placed at the same level, next to each other, holding hoes in both hands. Rectangular basket on the back. Long, smooth, three-part wig with a headband; triangular face with proportional details; eyes slightly closed. Headband and facial details painted. Painted inscription in a column separated by vertical lines on the front of the legs, starting just below the folded hands; text illegible. c. 945–c. 715 BC, Third Intermediate Period, 22nd–23rd Dynasty, Egypt. Height 5.8 cm., A small turquoise-colored figurine against a plain gray background showing a stylized human-shaped form with a rounded head and straight hair or headdress falling to the shoulders, a visible face with closed or softly defined eyes and a small nose, and a torso with arms folded or held at the front; the surface shows areas of rough texture and weathering with some brownish and darker greenish spots and lines accentuating features, and patches of light tan dust or grime in crevices.
