Cypriot gourd jug, A small vessel with a barrel-shaped gourd-shaped body, without a foot, with a spherical bottom. The center is marked with a small protruding point on both short sides. A single handle on the long side, mounted at the greatest bulge of the body and at the base of the neck, bent at a right angle. Quite long neck, strongly flaring, conical spout. Neck and handle slightly offset from the vessel axis; the handle is mounted at a slight angle, with a very clear trace of finger pressure on the right side where it is attached to the neck. Reddish-brown clay. Yellowish-brown engobe. Decoration in black-brown and matte red. The rim is decorated externally with a wide matte red band. The body is decorated on both sides with two groups of three concentric black-brown lines, of varying widths and spacing. In the groups on the shorter sides, the outer line is much wider than the others. Protruding points are marked in black-brown. Preservation condition: cracked and glued neck and handle. Cypro-Geometric Period III, Cyprus, vessel., A rounded ceramic vessel with a narrow neck and flared rim, shown from above and slightly behind, displaying a handle running from the neck down the body; the surface is mostly off-white or beige with weathered brown and gray areas, vertical dark gray or black stripes running along the rounded body, a flared rim that is reddish-brown on its outer edge, and a few darker spots and patches of wear visible on the vessel's surface.
