Fragment of a Greek dedicatory inscription, tombstone inscription, 70 BC–1 end of the Ptolemaic period or beginning of the Roman period, Egypt; Greek inscription; height 24.2 cm, width 24 cm, depth 4.7 cm., A roughly triangular fragment of dark gray stone with a rough, uneven edge on one side and a more rectangular, slightly beveled edge on the opposite side; the stone surface shows weathered texture with lighter gray patches and subtle raised areas where shallow incised marks are visible but not described; overall colors are dark gray, medium gray, and lighter gray with small areas of off-white at the chipped edges.
