Blade β insert for a sickle; flint tool; Sumer; Uruk culture, ca. 4thβ3rd millennium BC ca. 4000β3100 BC; Southern Mesopotamia; sickle tool., A vertically oriented, irregularly shaped stone fragment with scalloped edges shown against a uniform gray background; the stone displays a range of beige, tan, light brown, off-white, and gray tones with darker speckles and subtle streaks, a shallow central groove running lengthwise, and faint curved incised lines on one side, with a slightly rough, weathered surface texture.
