Shabti, mummy-shaped figurine standing on a base, back supported by a pillar/pilaster. Arms crossed on the chest with only the hands visible from under the shroud; right hand holds a hoe and left hand a pickaxe. A basket is slung on a string over the left shoulder on the back. Wears a three-part smooth wig and a long straight smooth beard. Features large eyes, a wide nose, a grimacing mouth, and very large ears. Inscribed inscription on the pilaster illegible. 332–30 BC; Late Period–Ptolemaic period, Egypt. Shabti; height 8.5 cm., A small sculpted figure of brownish stone with a rounded head and a stylized face wearing a headdress, the arms crossed over the chest and the lower body tapering into a narrow base, mounted on a dark greenish-gray rectangular stand against a solid medium-gray background; visible colors include shades of brown, gray, greenish-gray, and hints of lighter beige.
