Ushabti. Mummy-shaped figurine standing on a base with a flat pillar at the back. Arms folded across the chest with delicately outlined hands visible from under the shroud; both hands hold hoes and a basket is slung over the left shoulder on the back. Wears a smooth, tripartite wig. Round, proportionate face. Not inscribed. 664–332 BC, Late Period, Egypt. Height 11 cm., A single small statuette shown against a plain gray background, with a turquoise-blue surface mottled with areas of beige where the coating has worn away; the figure has a rounded head with faint facial features and a suggestion of a headdress, a tapered body that widens slightly at the shoulders, a narrow lower section leading to a small flared base, and an overall textured, aged appearance with patches of turquoise and beige.
