Shabti legs, mummy-shaped figurine, funerary gift. Fragment of the legs preserved from the knees down; the feet rest on a base and the back is supported by a pilaster. In front of the legs is a column of hieroglyphic inscription enclosed in a frame; painted inscription. Late Period, Egypt, 664–332 BC. Shabti; height 4.3 cm, width 2 cm., A glazed ceramic fragment shaped like a stylized boot or shoe, shown against a plain gray background, with a glossy surface in shades of blue including turquoise and deeper blue, and areas of lighter blue-green; the glaze shows speckled texture and small worn spots revealing a beige or sandy clay underneath, and there are rough, unglazed beige edges at the top and bottom.
