On the front of the legs is a painted hieroglyphic inscription in vertical lines. Late Period, Egypt, 664–332 BC. Material: shabti. Height 8.5 cm; width 2 cm., A single ceramic fragment shaped like a short, upright boot or column with a flat base, glazed in several shades of blue including bright sky blue, deeper cobalt blue, and a few turquoise tones, with a small area of exposed beige ceramic at the top; the glaze surface shows glossiness, subtle streaks and mottling, and a few small surface pits and rough edges, all set against a plain gray background.
