Shabti, Mummy-shaped figurine, funerary offering. Supported on a pillar at the back. Legs missing. Arms crossed on the chest, right folded over left. In the right hand is a hoe, in the left a pickaxe. On the back is a bag slung on a string over the left shoulder. Convex tools. On the head is a long, smooth, tripartite wig. Long, straight braided beard. Not inscribed. 664–332 BC; Late Period, Egypt. Shabti, height 5.2 cm., A small sculpted fragment of a human profile rendered in a glossy blue material with areas of lighter and darker blue and a few greenish spots, showing a head and upper torso with a smooth rounded head, a subtle nose, and a draped shoulder and chest, with the back edge revealing a beige, unglazed interior; the background is uniform gray.
