Shabti, Mummy-shaped figurine supported at the back on a pillar. Legs missing from the knees down. Arms crossed on the chest, right folded over left. In the right hand is a mattock, in the left an axe. On the back is a bag slung on a string over the left shoulder. Convex tools. On the head is a smooth, tripartite wig. Long, straight beard. Not inscribed. 664–332 BC; Late Period, Egypt. Shabti, height 6 cm., A vertical small sculpted object shown against a plain gray background, predominantly in shades of blue and turquoise with patches of darker blue near the top and lighter turquoise toward the lower portion; the surface appears glossy and slightly irregular with some small areas of rough beige material along one side and at the base, and subtle variations in texture and faint surface scratches are visible.
