Fragment of a brick with a cuneiform inscription, architectural element, cuneiform writing, Near Eastern architecture, Nebuchadnezzar II 604–562 BC, Eastern Gallic Scenography, ca. 604–ca. 562 BC, Babylonia, Borsippa, brick; weight 534 g; height 6 cm; width 15 cm; thickness 5 cm., A rectangular stone slab with an irregular broken edge, showing a rough, pitted surface and carved shallow grooves and linear incisions arranged in geometric groupings across its face; the stone displays a range of beige, tan, sandy brown, and pale gray tones with small darker brown and gray specks and patches; several vertical and horizontal groove groups create stepped and angular patterns, and a few shallow rounded indentations and chips appear along the perimeter, with one corner more jagged and eroded than the rest.
