Gnathia-style mug, Antique vessel mug from Apulia, Southern Italy; 4th–3rd century BC. Red clay with glossy varnish, white-painted decoration and yellow retouching. Flat bottom, convex belly tapering to a wide spout; band-like rim. Decoration mainly on the upper belly opposite the rim: three elongated female heads in profile turned left with large eyes and hairstyles shaded with yellow, surrounded by an ornament of ivy fruit and leaves. Gnathia style; Greek/Ancient Greek pottery., A top-down view of a round vessel with a spout, the vessel appearing predominantly black with worn areas showing muted brown and beige tones, placed against a uniform gray background; the interior is dark with mottled lighter patches, and the rim shows a few small chips and scratches.
