Fragment of a shabti. Head of a shabti figurine with carefully rendered facial features; smooth wig and thin beard. Celadon glaze. Ptolemaic Period, 332–30 BC. From El-Kantara. Shabti; height 2.9 cm., A small sculpted head fragment rendered in a pale greenish-blue with areas of beige and light brown, showing a rounded forehead, recessed eye areas, a defined nose, and a small protrusion at the chin; remnants of a head covering or headdress drape along the sides in similar greenish-blue and beige tones, and the surface shows pitting and weathered texture with speckles of brown against a plain gray background.
